WEEK #1: Thursday
It’s Thursday, which is like the Friday of Friday, so the weekend is within our grasp. Every Thursday during our Coffee Break With the Ballet we’ll be celebrating the fabulous dancers of Oregon Ballet Theatre and showing off some of their most dazzling moves to go with each week’s theme. And then, just for fun, we’ll have a “Random Thursday Question” related to the week’s theme for you all to answer in the comments, which has nothing to do with ballet but should prove to be entertaining.
Stars of OBT: “Bodies In Motion”
A painter uses a brush, a writer uses a pen . . . a ballet dancer uses their whole body, from the top of the head to the tip of the toe. Whether regal and aristocratic, or flying through the air like a superhero, the whole human body is their canvas.
