JOIN US for an afternoon of incredible performances and witness the next generation of dancers from The School of Oregon Ballet Theatre and OBT2.
George Balanchine’s glorious Walpurgisnacht Ballet, set to the ballet music from the opera Faust by Charles Gounod, showcases 25 dancers in a work of pure classical ballet and joyful revelry.
Claude Debussy’s hauntingly beautiful Claire de Lune serves as the musical inspiration for OBT’s resident choreographer Nicolo Fonte’s equally stunning choreography excerpted from his full-length work Beasts.
The world-premiere of A Great Britten choreographed by OBT’s own Alison Roper
and SOBT director Anthony Jones to Benjamin Britten’s A Young Persons Guide to the
Orchestra follows the young composer as the instruments of the orchestra come to life
before his very eyes.
The program concludes with A Grand Étude showcasing the accomplishments of the
school.
