Colby Parsons | Company Artist

Joined OBT in 2014

Colby Parsons is from Santa Barbara, California, where he studied at Santa Barbara Ballet Center with Denise Rinaldi. He then trained on full scholarship at American Ballet Theatre, danced with ABT II, and had soloist and principal roles with Alberta Ballet in Calgary. He joined OBT as a company artist in 2014 and has enjoyed the roles of Lover in James Kudelka’s Sub Rosa, lead in August Bournonville’s Napoli, Prince in Ben Stevenson’s Cinderella, and Cavalier in George Balanchine’s The Nutcracker^®. He has also appeared as a guest artist with companies in Japan, Costa Rica, Spain, Italy, Switzerland, and Canada.
