VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
Ekho: The Ballet
that Portland Built
Set Build:
September 10 - October 5, 2012 / 4-hour shifts /
At the OBT Warehouse
The sets for Christopher Stowell’s new work, Ekho, are being designed by NW Visual Artist John Grade. They will be comprised of about 15 “semi-conical” shaped structures (see image to right).
To build these structures, OBT will need the help of hundreds of volunteers all over the city over a 10-12 day period in September to literally put these structures together.
No special skills are required (it will be more arts and crafts than heavy set building), however individuals with great attention to detail and the capacity to do the same task for several hours are best suited.
Volunteers can work as few or as many shifts as desired. For each 4-hr shift, you will receive a $10 volunteer voucher that can be used towards purchasing tickets to Body Beautiful. Working enough shifts will allow you to see the performance for free! If you already have tickets to the performance, these vouchers may be passed on to friends and family.
